Roadmap
Custom Statuses
Custom statuses are your roadmap's kanban columns - give them your own names, colors, icons, and choose which ones appear on the public board.
Statuses are the kanban columns on your roadmap. Convot ships five editable defaults, and you can add your own.

The defaults are fully editable - rename them, change the color, change the icon, or toggle public visibility. You can also delete ones you don’t need.
Managing statuses
Go to Settings → Apps → [your app] → Roadmap statuses (or the statuses panel within the Roadmap admin page).
Edit a status
- Click the status row.
- Change the name, color (hex or preset swatch), and icon (choose from the preset icon set: clock, progress, check, lightbulb, flag, sparkles, dot, or x).
- Toggle Show on public board on or off.
- Save.
Add a status
- Click New status.
- Enter a name and pick a color and icon.
- Choose whether to show it on the public board.
- Save.
Delete a status
Deleting a status makes the items that were in it “Unassigned” - they don’t disappear, they just have no status label until you reassign them. The items themselves stay on the board.
Public board rules
Between 3 and 5 statuses can be shown on the public board at a time. The Show on public board toggle controls this per status. Statuses with it off are admin-only and never visible to customers, making them useful for internal stages like “Declined” or “Won’t Fix”.
Keep at least 3 statuses public so the board has meaningful columns for visitors.
Icon auto-assignment
If you don’t pick an icon, Convot assigns one based on the status name (e.g. a name containing “progress” gets the progress icon, “shipped” gets the check icon). You can always change it afterward.
