Google Meet, Zoom, and Phone Links

Set a location on each meeting type - Google Meet links are generated automatically when you connect your Google Calendar; phone and other options are also available.

Updated June 12, 2026

Each meeting type has a location - this is what customers see in their confirmation and what goes in their calendar invite.

Location options

When creating or editing a meeting type, pick one of these location types:

💡
Type What it does
None No location shown. Use this if the meeting happens via chat or you handle it separately.
Google Meet Convot generates a unique Meet link automatically when the booking is confirmed. Requires a connected Google Calendar.
⚠️

Zoom and phone are listed as location types in the system but are not yet surfaced in the meeting type editor UI. If you need them, use Google Meet or set up a custom location via the API. We’ll update this article when they’re available in the admin.

Connecting Google Calendar

Google Meet link generation requires a connected Google Calendar. Without it, Google Meet links won’t be created for new bookings.

To connect:

  1. Go to Scheduling → Settings tab.
  2. Scroll to Google Calendar.
  3. Click Connect Google Calendar.
  4. A Google consent popup appears. Grant Convot access to your calendar and your email (so it can check availability and create Meet links).
  5. Once connected, your calendar name appears with a green dot.
💡

You need to authorize from a Google account that has the calendar you want to use for meetings. The connected account is used to check busy time and create Meet links.

What Google Calendar does

  • Blocks busy times - existing events in your calendar prevent slots from showing as available.
  • Creates events - when a booking is confirmed, Convot adds an event to your calendar with the booking details and the Meet link.
  • Generates Meet links - each booking gets a unique Google Meet link included in the confirmation email and calendar invite.

Disconnecting

To disconnect, click Disconnect in the Google Calendar section of Scheduling Settings. New bookings will no longer generate Meet links or check your calendar availability. Existing bookings are unaffected.
